I went on vista print to order business cards so I could offer my babysitting services to the parents in my class. They are set to come in next week so I figured I could give it out then but this morning when my boss told me she didn’t need me after today I cut out business card sized paper with pretty colors and did my own ghetto business card and went to get them laminated during my lunch break.
As the parents came to pick up their kids I told each of them it was my last day and they all reacted like they were really sad to see me go. I didn’t want to tell them the ~real~ reason why I left but literally EVERY SINGLE PARENT told me they were not happy at the school and didn’t agree with management. They all thanked me for being so good to their kids and when I told them to call me anytime if they need a babysitter 75% of them got really excited about it and said they were actually looking for someone but couldn’t find anyone. Also, most of them told me I’d be better off not working there and I’m too good for that kind of work.
It was nice to feel appreciated even if it wasn’t by the management.
