→ LETS TALK

I went into work at 10am this morning for the lunch shift and I had a grand total of one table come in during the 8 hour span that I was clocked in but I didn’t really mind because the one table I did get really enlightened me. It was 3 older men visiting from New York. I had nothing else to do so we ended up talking a lot about everything but mostly spirituality and achieving happiness. I didn’t go into too much detail with them about my current emotional issues, of course, but they could gather that I was in a bit of a sad mood. One of the guys, the quietest one, said something really powerful to me. Something that anyone could say. Something it doesn’t take a genius to figure out. But he said it to me and he said it at the perfect time. He said that with every day that passes, the void that your heart is feeling fills up a little bit more. An obvious statement, like “time heals all” but it just really hit me. It was something I really needed to hear.
Then they left me a $40 tip and I nearly cried.
